Introduction

The fibre optic cascade amazes us with its lighting effect, whether we are sitting or standing. It stimulates proprioception and body awareness. Contact with the optical fibres helps us to perceive different parts of our body. Ideal for learning cause and effect, recognizing colors and activities that encourage communication.

Supplied with 2 metres long, light source and ceiling mount.

Our Luminea fountain can be used along with a 6 button, a giant die, the switch that you want, or even with the Luminea App (available for downloading) to control the colors of the fountain in a unique way.

Luminea App allows the user to control one or several Luminea devices and also includes dozens of built-in activities. The interactivity of the App helps us to achieve diverse therapeutic and/or educational objectives. Use the fun and creative activities we have provided or easily create your own activities with this App.

It is the fibre optic cascade that is used for rooms with the SHX System, and offers unlimited control options using any of the SHX elements: choose any color or even change the color of the tube using your voice or depending on the color of the image being projected.

Necessary elements  for assembly:

For the assembly of the device you will need the following items not included with the product:

For fastening the curtain:

  • 2x fixing block (6mm). Make sure that the plugs are suitable for the mounting surface.
  • 2x screws

For fastening the light source:

  • 2x fixing pad (6mm). Make sure that the plugs are suitable for the mounting surface.
  • 2x screws

Assembly:
  • Locate the curtain on the ceiling and mark the two points of the washers (the fixing washers should be about 20cm from each end).
  • Fix the two washers on the ceiling, taking into account that the opening must be at the bottom.

  • Once fixed, insert the fibre bundle through the washer farthest from the wall where the light source will be installed, and then pass the curtain through the first washer
  • Pass the fibre bundle through the second washer, and then the curtain
  • Fix the position of the curtain on the washers with the side screw

Fixing the light source on the wall / ceiling:

  • The two holes on the underside of the lighting unit allow it to be fixed to the wall or ceiling.
  • Install 2 screws on the mounting surface, leaving a 4 mm gap between the surface and the screw head. The spacing between the holes is 100 mm.
  • Install the lighting unit by placing the mounting holes over the screws.
  • Shift the light source in the correct direction to secure it firmly on the mounting screws.

Assembly of the fibres:

  • Insert the connector of the fibre bundle into the receptacle of the light source until it comes to a stop, once inside, fix it with the screw and the key provided for that purpose.

  • Feed the light source. On the one hand the feeder must be connected to the light source as shown in the figure and on the other side the feeder must be connected to the electric current.

  • Once you’ve plugged the light source, it will stay lit for 10 seconds (a white light) and thereafter it will work in automatic mode (see next section).
  • For use with the SHX system, the DMX cable must be connected to the DMX IN connector.  This cable must be connected to the rest of the DMX bus of the installation.
  • In the event that this element is the last of the entire installation, the bus terminator should be connected to the DMX OUT (this terminator is supplied in the SHX Central Device).
  • If you must continue the DMX signal to another device, you must connect the DMX cable to the DMX out connector.
